Bernat Handicrafter WW Cotton
I recently purchased a few skeins of the Bernat Handicrafter Cotton. After using a couple of the skeins for dishcloths, I have found that it's a bit thicker than Peaches & Cream or Cream & Sugar. The colors are very nice, and the cotton is fairly soft, but the Handicrafter doesn't seem to be twisted as tight as the other two yarns (meaning that it's easy to split it while knitting, if you're not careful).
Just my opinion, but I thought I'd share.

Learning new things
Something I hadn't given any thought about (until working on a cloth that had lettering) is the fact that us lefties are knitting everything backwards.
Well, I guess I'm going to really put the education that I'm getting to good use! I'm in the process of designing a program that will convert a knitting pattern from right-handed to left-handed. There is nothing more frustrating (to me anyway) than to be working on a project only to find out that it's backwards from the picture! It's not so bad if the item is just a picture, because it's still the same as the original, just reversed. Projects with words are culprits! But that's ok, I'm going to fix that!

Getting started....
Well, I'm finally getting started with this blogging stuff and I hope to keep up on a semi-regular basis. Being a full time student and carring for my mom who has Alzheimer's keeps me pretty busy, but in order to relax and clear my mind, I knit, loom, or crochet. I need to take some pictures of what I've been working on lately and get them posted here.
